Update: this position has been filled as of 8/28/23:
At Nashville Craft Distillery, these two roles go hand-in-hand: Our distilling team conducts tours, taking guests behind the scenes of our process with a focus on the history and science of fermentation and distillation. We put the science of distilling in the spotlight and invite visitors to sample our handcrafted spirits and cocktails right where the spirits are made.
We are looking for a new team member to work as an apprentice distiller/distilling guide.
Skills:
Must be comfortable presenting to tour groups and hosting guests.
Must have strong attention to detail for process while learning to become an apprentice distiller.
Flexibility is key on our small craft distilling team; everyone pitches in on a variety of tasks.
A passion for craft distilling, craft spirits and/or science is a plus.
Job specifics:
This team member will:
Train to become an apprentice distiller, focused on actual production of whiskey and other spirits.
Guide guests through tours that focus on the specifics of our distilling process and assist with samplings of our handcrafted spirits and other customer service tasks in the tasting room.
Join in everything it takes to run a small, truly craft distillery.
No previous experience is necessary. This could be either a part-time or full-time position depending on the perfect candidate’s availability; shifts are focused on weekends when the distillery is busiest, but there’s opportunity for production work during the week.
